ACI Scoring

ACI makes up 25% of your total MIPS score.  In order to achieve the 25% for MIPS, you must get 100% score on ACI.  50% of this score is made up by the Base Score Requirements.  The other 50% is made up of the Performance and Bonus Score Requirements.  In the descriptions of each measure, you will see scoring for Base, Performance, and Bonus.  There are many ways to make up your score.  Scores over 100% will be treated as 100%.

Base Score Requirements (50% of total score)

Base Score Requirements make up 50% of the total score for Advancing Care Information.  If you meet the minimum for each base score requirement, you will automatically get 50% for ACI.

Performance Score Requirements (up to 90% additional score)

Measures eligible for Performance Score Requirements allow for additional scoring to be added to the base score, but only after the base score is achieved. There is an additional 90% available to add to the base of 50%.  Scoring is based on performance in each category and the reporting period is a minimum of 90 days.

Bonus Score Requirements (up to 10% additional score)

Bonus Score Requirements can add up to 10% to the base and performance scores, but only after the base score has been achieved.  If you participate in one of the programs described in the measures, you can add this to your total score.

How to Achieve 100%

To achieve 100% for ACI, you will need to complete the Base Score Requirements and an additional 50% worth of Performance and Bonus score requirements.
