Helpful ICD-10 App Suggestions

The switch to ICD-10 is one month away and we want to do everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible for your practice.  With so many new codes to choose from, mobile apps can be very handy in helping you narrow down the options.

Here are a few mobile apps that you may wish to try.  All of these apps are available for Android or iPhone by searching their app stores.

ICD Pocket Reference -  This is a very simple app that allows searching for ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes and converting between the two.  It also allows you to select favorites for quick access to your frequently used codes.

ICD-10 Lite 2012 - This app allows for searching or browsing ICD-10 codes.  In addition to favorites, it also provides access to your search history.  It does not allow for converting between ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes, but there is a version called ICD Lite 2012 which allows you to search both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes.

Find-A-Code - This app allows for searching andbrowsing of ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes.  When looking at ICD-9 codes, it also shows the suggested ICD-10 code.  It allows you to bookmark codes for quick access, as well.

All of these apps are available for free, but with advertisements or limited functionality.  Premium versions can be purchased for fairly minimal cost. We suggest trying the free versions before making a purchase.

We expect more apps and tools will become available in the coming months.  We will do our best to share those which we believe will help in your transition and beyond.

Ware Langhorne & Associates, Inc. is not associated with any of the suggested apps and does not make any guarantee of their availability or accuracy in choosing codes.
